A community of caring, prayer, and support
The New River Circuit is a faith community joined with common goals. It is composed of Morgan’s Chapel UMC in the New River community and Belspring UMC in the Belspring area. Easy to locate, Morgan’s Chapel is just off US Route 11 on New River Road. Belpsring, you might guess, is off Belspring Road off Pepper’s Ferry in Fairlawn.
These two churches each have their own personalities and support their choice of missions outreach. They both are caring faith communities who are welcoming and supportive of themselves and their neighborhood. If you are far from home or looking for a church that feels like family, or simply want to be a part of something bigger than yourself-to experience God and make a difference, you will be welcomed at either church.

This Summer Morgan’s and Belspring are coming together for a special project! It has been years since we have shared our favorite recipes, so this summer between July 1 – August 31st share your favorite dishes, family classics, new creations as we compile a Circuit wide volume of recipes and stories. When you are sharing your recipe you have the chance to share a short story or tale about this recipe/creator.

It is in worship itself that we experience God in a wholly unique way-where the time we share is set apart. Worship is a great way to connect with others in a faith community and grow in your own spiritual journey.
Belspring @ 9:30 AM includes closed caption technology.
Morgan’s Chapel @ 11:15 AM
Worship is livestreamed at Belspring UMC on a weekly basis to the Belspring UMC Facebook page and on special occasions at Morgan’s Chapel.

Morgan’s Chapel and Belspring come together to join in studying the scripture. Be it through books or deep dives into the Bible you can find great ways to connect spiritually and communally with others during seasons of the year on the New River Circuit. This spring January – May the reading program “Rekindle the Flame” is lighting us on fire for the scriptures of the New Testament. Find out more on the Rekindle the Flame Page!

Our circuit pastor is The Rev. Rachel Collins, who came in 2021, previously having served as an associate pastor in the Chattanooga area. A Provisional Elder in the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church, she graduated Candler School of Theology in 2021 with a Masters of Divinity. Pastor Rachel earned her B.S in Organic and Sustainable Food Production from the University of Tennessee. She is passionate about food security and sustainability, and works to support this goal. Pastor Rachel’s varied interests include reading, hiking, baking, and sharing her love of the natural world. She is joined by her companion pup, Khaleesi, the sweetest black lab you can meet. Find both of them together for office hours, an occasional worship service, and trips around the area.
